...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of central Indiana, including the following
  county, Boone.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, including Prairie
  Creek, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent
  or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 239 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain earlier today, with between 2.5 and over
    3.5 inches of storm total rainfall. The river gauge for
    Prairie Creek near Lebanon shows the creek remains above
    flood stage and is likely to stay above flood stage while
    slowly falling over the next few hours before falling more
    quickly thereafter.

Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...

  Youngs Creek at Amity.

.Rainfall amounts of 2.5 to 3 plus inches across central Indiana
have led to flooding along Youngs Creek at Amity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement should be issued this evening by around 1130 PM
EDT.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Youngs Creek at Amity.

* WHEN...From this morning to late this evening.

* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Youngs Creek at flood stage.  Most low
  areas along creek are flooded.   Approaches to CR 400S bridge over
  Youngs Creek begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 7.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 AM EDT Wednesday was 7.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 7.7
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late
    this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

  including the following county, Putnam.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 758 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the
    warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - The river gauge along Big Walnut Creek near Roachdale shows
    that the river is still rising.
